Australis Diamond Beach Resort & Spa opened in October 2006, after a complete redevelopment of The Coastal Resort Caravan Park, and has since established itself as a family friendly holiday, wedding and conference venue.
In the 1970s and 1980s, the Coastal Resort Caravan Park was an iconic family friendly park with some permanent residents as well as a consistent holiday trade, and enjoyed direct beach frontage onto 6km of Diamond Beach.

Key Staff at Australis Diamond Beach Resort and Spa
Resort Manager: Marcus Hammond (manager.diamondbeach@australishotels.com)
I have travelled from coast to coast to take up the opportunity to become the Resort Manager at Australis Diamond Beach Resort and Spa. Previously employed in a similar role at the Gold Coast, I have found Australis to be a fine establishment with first class facilities and a restaurant onsite that boasts some of the finest cuisine the region has to offer.
Being in the service industry sometimes requires very early starts and working the graveyard shift, so passion and a love of caffeine are musts for longevity in the industry. I started working in the food and beverage industry as an apprentice chef. From that point I developed an interest in the overall business of running hotels, so started working in front office and conference coordination. I have worked in some tremendous four and five star properties, including the famed Palazzo Versace, which is, in fact, the first six star property in Australia.
My work ethic is to lead by example, so I would never ask my staff to undertake anything that I myself would not do. I believe that leading by example and having a positive outlook are key ingredients to success in business.
Working at Australis with a committed team of friendly professionals has been a pleasure, and I implore you to come and see for yourself what a great place it is!
